The AMT AutoMag V is an American pistol.

History

The AutoMag V was designed by Harry Sanford, creator and designer of the original AutoMag, and is one of the very few pistols that use a .50 caliber round. It was introduced in 1993 and discontinued in 1995. 3000 were supposed to be made, but the goal was never reached.

Design Details

The AutoMag V looks extremely different from the original AutoMag, despite both being designed by the same person. The AutoMag V has compensator ports built into the weapon to help reduce recoil, but recoil is still rather harsh even for the most experienced shooters. It is made of stainless steel. The AutoMag V uses the same frame as the AutoMag IV, so AutoMag Vs have been discovered with AutoMag IV slides and vice versa.
